Wine & Castles – Motorbike Tour

The Wine & Castels Tour is designed for those who want to discover the best of the Iberian Peninsula at the rhythm of the open road. Over several days, this circular journey — starting and ending in the city of Porto — combines exceptional wines, historic cities and some of the most impressive mountain ranges in Portugal and Spain.

The adventure begins towards the Douro Valley, one of the oldest wine regions in the world. Between terraced vineyards, endless rows of vines and winding curves, the Douro offers the perfect setting for a memorable drive. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit iconic wineries and taste some of the finest Portuguese wines.

Next, we cross the border towards Salamanca, a university city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, where golden architecture and the Plaza Mayor welcome travellers. The route continues to Ávila, famous for its perfectly preserved medieval walls, which seem to guard centuries of history and tradition.

We then ride across the impressive Sierra de Gredos, one of the major highlights of this trip. Mountain roads, deep valleys and pure freedom create one of the most remarkable moments of the tour.

The descent takes us to Plasencia, a charming city rich in history and excellent gastronomy — the ideal place to recharge before the final stage.

Back in Portugal, the journey culminates in the majestic Serra da Estrela, the highest point in mainland Portugal. Legendary roads, glacial lakes and breathtaking viewpoints bring this route to a perfect close.

On the last day, we return to Porto with the feeling of having lived a complete experience: wines, castles, culture, history and the best roads of the Peninsula.
